Achievements

For over 30 years, the Churches Housing Association of Dudley and District (CHADD) has been providing housing and support in and around Dudley. We opened the first women’s refuge for the area in 1985 and with the second refuge opening in 1993 we have assisted many hundreds of women and children since then to flee from domestic abuse. During 2009 & 2010 we accommodated 104 women and 165 Children.

Support and care

From April 2012 we are very proud to be opening a new refuge in Dudley for 14 families. This refuge will have independent flatlets for more space and privacy - enabling us to offer an even better service than now as we can accommodate male, gay, lesbian, transsexual victims who may not have previously been comfortable in our shared houses with mainly heterosexual service users.
