Domestic abuse affects 1 in 4 women and 1 in 6 men at some time of their life.
54% of rapes in the UK are committed by a woman’s current or former partner ( BCS Interpersonal Violence (IPV) 2005-06.
- Via any professional agency (Housing, Social Services, Citizens Advise Bureau, Police Solicitors etc)
- Self referrals can get information from the widely publicised Women’s Aid to gain access to our services or from any of the domestic abuse emergency services.
- These organisations will liaise with us, giving us the telephone number for the proposed service user for us to call back on.

- If we have space we will complete the referral form.
- If information is required qualified staff will assist with this also, and can provide appropriate sign posting.
What you should bring :
It is very helpful that you bring items such as;
Any medication (for you and your children)
Birth certificate, Marriage Certificate, Medical Certificate, and passports
Any bank and benefit books
Your clothes and any personal items that are important or a comfort to you and your children.
Money (if you have any)
Food and toiletries (if you can) |
