CHADD is planning to establish a Domestic Abuse Support and Self Help Service to provide a crucial resource to extend the range of options available to people who have experienced domestic abuse.

The aim is to and enhance services by providing opportunities to service users and volunteers to develop a range of mutual support and self help services.

The service will deliver:

• Information Hub – A contact centre providing advice and guidance with signposting to other appropriate services open 2 ½ days each week.
• Practical help – Access to a rent deposit/rent guarantee scheme and other self help.
• Emotional support – mutual support and opportunities for empowerment, volunteering and other activities that will build self-esteem.
